Everything is WINE!
It has been a crazy couple of weeks for me. I moved into a new place, hosted Thanksgiving dinner and spent all my monies Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping—I am TIRED! And if I get asked one more time why I am still single or when I’m going to have a baby I am going to scream! Lol! The stress is beginning to build so I am taking this week to shift my focus back on self. Friends, self-care is so important, especially during this time of year when we get pulled into 100 different directions by family, friends, and others.
Take some time out this week and focus on self! Try these 5 ways to destress and ready your mind for seeing your family, your body for eating all the goodness of the holidays, and your heart for all the wine you are going to consume.
Wine is a must! Grab a bunch of your favorites and carry a bottle with you to your next family function. I buy most of my wine from Trader Joe’s, check these out.
**Grifone Primitivo
**19 Crimes Hard Chard
**Ravenswood Vintners Blend “Old Vine” Zinfandel
Run yourself a bubble bath…all Mr. Teal’s products are amazing! Light you some candles, dim the lights, have a glass of wine and decompress. I add oils to my water to stimulate my senses, plus when I get out, my skin is super hydrated. Try out some of my faves!
**Lavender oil
**Sesame oil
**Eucalyptus oil
**Lemongrass oil
Don’t quit your workout routine. I know during the holidays we are tempted to forgo our workout routine, but remember friends, exercising is an excellent way to release stress. Also, NYE is right around the corner and you know you want to look snatched in your freakum dress! If you aren’t feeling the high intensity style workout, I recommend attended a yoga class, regenerate your mind body and soul.
Eat more dessert. The holidays are an excuse to overindulge! Get your sugar fix when the getting is good.
Treat yourself to a spa day (yes this can be done at home). Soak your feet honey, polish your fingernails, and beat that face to the gods! When we take care of ourselves we can better care for our loved ones.
Let me know what you do to eliminate stress from your life!
